Engagement: self-guided exercises

Exercise 1

Have a look at the four dimensions of engagement included with Barry’s podcast “Building Engagement”.  Consider how engaged you are at work by scoring yourself 0-10 for each of the parts (body, heart, mind and spirit).  Reflect on what would need to change for you to score higher.  Discuss relevant areas with your boss.

Exercise 2

How much freedom are you given at work?  How clear and well supported are you when you are given that freedom?  In what areas are you ready for more freedom?  Discuss possible areas with your boss.
