Osprey spring migration
Spring is one of the most exciting times in the Osprey calendar as breeding birds return to the UK. In this free online talk, OLF founder and Osprey expert Dr Tim Mackrill, who has a PhD on Osprey migration, describes the amazing journeys the birds make as they traverse deserts, mountain ranges and seas to make a timely return to their nests from their wintering grounds. He explains how satellite tracking has enhanced our understanding of these journeys and shed new light on some remarkable feats of endurance.
