Osprey spring migration
Wednesday 25th March – 7:30 pm
Free online talk
Spring is one of the most exciting times in the Osprey calendar as breeding birds return to the UK. In this free online talk, OLF founder and Osprey expert Dr Tim Mackrill, who has a PhD on Osprey migration, will describe the amazing journeys the birds make as they traverse deserts, mountain ranges and seas in order to make a timely return to their nests from their wintering grounds. He’ll explain how satellite tracking has enhanced our understanding of these journeys and shed new light on some remarkable feats of endurance.
The talk is free, but we ask that you consider making a donation to the Osprey Leadership Foundation in return.
